Skater Name: Falcon Punch Team: Montreal New Skids on the Block Position: Jammer Who are you? Why are we featuring you on this extremely coveted blog? I'm Falcon Punch, and you asked me if I minded talking about derby, and seeing as talking derby is one of my favourite things...and you sent me a bunch of questions to answer...here I am! Which he packed and took to England to compete in for the first men's roller derby world cup.  Red's been around the derby scene in Ottawa for so long, it's hard to remember a time without him. The surge in skating and...

I've been working at Neon Skates in Ottawa since the shop opened. I will never quit that job, even if it means working one four-hour shift a year. I love the job.  That being said, in my years at the shop, I've noticed one thing: people are super indecisive. And I totally get it. Derby gear isn't cheap and you're taking a chance on a lot of unknowns. I bought my first fresh meat gear in about four minutes flat and the (shitty) lesson I learned was so straight forward, it's made me brutally and painfully careful in every decision....
