Temporary Store Closure Due to Coronavirus

In an effort to protect the health and safety of our staff and clients, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the shop until further notice. We are hopeful that together we will "flatten the curve" in the coming weeks by working together and staying apart.  Let us reassure you that we are still here to help you cultivate your #skatejoy. We truly appreciate your understanding and patronage. Many of our local small businesses have also closed and we kindly ask that you support us in any way you can. We continue to follow the sound and thorough advice provided by Ottawa Public Health. We will advise you as soon as we are ready to welcome you back into the shop for all your roller skating needs.

Can I still order from you?

Yes, absolutely. Our website is amazing and we'd love for you to use it! We're doing our best to ensure that the products on our website reflect the product availability. Supply of products is a little bit fluid due to regional closures but we are updating as things change.  

When are you open?

For now we have no store hours as indicated above, but we have "customer service" hours are 9am-3pm weekdays when we are available by phone. Outside of those hours we are doing our best to respond to messages and emails as quickly as possible.

Why should I order online?

We understand that it's a strange time for everyone and appreciate every order, phone call and email we receive.  Keeping physically active is one of the best ways to support mental health. Here are some of the things we're doing to make you comfortable and happy at home and online ordering from us:

  • Free shipping in Canada on all orders over $50
  • $10 off for anyone who sends us proof of a donation to their food bank
  • Free instructional videos on FB and Instagram spreading the #skatejoy

How can I tell if something is in stock?

Our inventory numbers should be correct. If an item is in stock, it should show the quantity available on the product pages.  If it says to contact us about inventory, this likely means we have to confirm availability with our suppliers. 

Can you guarantee shipping times?

Unfortunately because of the fluidity of the situation, even Canada Post is unable to guarantee delivery times.  We do provide a tracking code when your order is shipped and you can monitor its progress. 

What if I need sizing help?

Our customer service is what we are known for and we do this all the time remotely for our customers.  We can do sizing consults even by email.  As always, we also offer free sizing exchanges so if we get it wrong, we can send you a different size. Please contact us through any of the methods below and we will be happy to assist you. 

Can I do store pickup?

At this time we want to encourage everyone to stay home to #flattenthecurve. We are using Canada Post for all deliveries, offering free delivery for orders over $50. When you choose store pickup as an option for shipping, we will contact you for your preference.

Are all products still available?

For the time being, any product that we cannot stock we have attempted to remove from our website or set as a pre-order but the availability is constantly changing.  Some of our beloved manufacturers have had to temporarily close or halt production such as Moxi and Riedell.  This means we have to double check what stock they have. If something isn't available, we can still pre-order them for you so that you get them as soon as possible once production resumes but due to the nature of this situation, we can't guarantee when that will be.

Whenever possible, we will recommend alternatives. If you have any questions about availability of a product, please contact us, we are happy to clarify. If you order a product and the availability changes, we will contact you.

Will my previous order be delayed?

We are contacting any customers whose orders may be impacted by a slowdown in availability, production or shipping. Whenever possible we are proposing alternatives if a product is no longer available.

When will you reopen?

Oh my, we wish we could tell you but we are rolling with the punches as everyone is. We are following carefully the directives that Ottawa Public Health is giving for everyone's health and safety and will reopen when permitted.
